PowerDNS, founded in the year 2000 together with ZEP Holding, is the premier database driven DNS server. In addition, the PowerDNS Recursor provides high-speed robust resolution, with unparalleled and low-overhead scripting.
In 2011, PowerDNS gained innovative DNSSEC 'fire & forget' support, which within a year became the dominant DNSSEC implementation in Scandinavia.
As of 2012, the Authoritative Server powers around 30%-50% of all domains in many important parts of the world, including Europe. In addition, hundreds of millions of users are served by the PowerDNS Recursor.
PowerDNS is developed and supported by Netherlabs.
In 2006, together with Fox-IT, we launched Fox Replay BV to provide law enforcement agencies with innovative packet analysis solutions.
In 2011, Fox Replay BV was acquired by NetScout
Systems Inc (Nasdaq: NTCT).
In 1997, Casema (these days known as Ziggo) was the first cable internet provider in Delft, The Netherlands.
As part of the original team, we helped scale Casema Internet from 50 to
50000 users – a very large number at the time. This led to the commercial
development of 'Pinguin', a very early interactive service level monitoring
application for the Casema cable modem userbase. Pinguin was subsequently
licensed to two other cable companies.

Netherlabs software is often used in places where security matters. A critical PowerDNS Security Update in 2009 made it to the frontpage of the US Department of Homeland Security website - underscoring the importance of Netherlabs technologies!
